Fundraising is not the only way to bring in dollars, cost savings can have a real impact. Dr. Jill Landesberg-Boyle instituted energy savings programs which saves the college $100K a year. This savings was the result of the only the first phase, which required almost no investment and had no impact on the day to day activites of the school. Measures were as simple as asking staff and cleaning crews turn off lights, timers installed in public area's, and more cost efficient lighting.
